CCTV & Video Surveillance
Surveillance designed around the site.
CCTV and video surveillance systems for commercial, residential and institutional properties across Dubai and the UAE — designed around coverage, image quality, recording, retention and security requirements.
AMSS surveys, designs, installs and supports camera, recording and video-management infrastructure, with SIRA coordination where applicable.

- Camera Coverage Planning
- IP CCTV & PoE
- NVR / VMS & Retention
- Analytics & Integration
Every camera needs a clear purpose.
Before equipment is selected, each camera position is defined by what needs to be seen, the conditions it will operate in, how footage will be recorded and how the system will be used.
- 01
Coverage & Image Objective
Camera position, lens and mounting height are selected around the purpose of each view — whether the requirement is general overview, entry and exit monitoring, identification or another defined security objective.
- 02
Lighting & Scene Conditions
Daylight, glare, shadows, low-light areas, entrances and changing lighting conditions are considered when selecting and positioning cameras so the equipment is appropriate for the scene.
- 03
Recording & Retention
Camera count, resolution, frame rate, recording mode and required retention all influence recorder and storage capacity. These requirements are established before the recording platform is sized.
- 04
Network, Power & System Scale
IP cameras depend on the network and power infrastructure behind them. PoE capacity, switching, uplinks, recorder connectivity and future expansion are considered as part of the same surveillance design.
What Our CCTV & Video Surveillance Services Cover
AMSS designs CCTV around the security objective of each camera position, with recording, storage, access, analytics and supporting infrastructure considered as one system.
- 01
Site Survey & Coverage Design
Camera positions, viewing angles, mounting locations and coverage objectives are planned around entrances, circulation areas, critical zones and other locations that require surveillance. Where applicable in Dubai, the design is coordinated with the relevant SIRA security-system requirements.
- 02
IP Cameras & PoE Infrastructure
IP cameras, switching, Power over Ethernet and supporting cabling configured according to the number of cameras, network architecture and requirements of each camera position.
- 03
NVR, VMS & Video Storage
Recording platforms and video storage sized around camera count, resolution, recording settings and required retention, with video-management capability selected according to the scale and operational requirements of the system.
- 04
Remote Viewing & User Permissions
Supported systems can provide authorised access to live and recorded video, with user accounts and permissions configured around who should be able to view or manage the surveillance system.
- 05
Video Analytics & ANPR
Supported analytics can include event detection, line crossing, intrusion zones, people counting, object-based alerts or Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) where those functions are appropriate to the application and selected platform.
- 06
Integration, Upgrades & Maintenance
CCTV can be coordinated with compatible access-control, intruder-alarm and vehicle-access systems where integrated events or workflows are required. Existing surveillance systems can also be assessed for expansion, migration or replacement.
What Businesses Ask About CCTV & Video Surveillance
01How many CCTV cameras do we need?
The number of cameras depends on the areas that need to be monitored and what each camera is expected to achieve. Entrances, circulation routes, critical areas, blind spots, viewing distance and lighting all affect the coverage plan, so camera quantity should follow the site survey rather than floor area alone.
02How much CCTV storage will we need?
Storage depends on camera count, resolution, frame rate, compression, recording mode and the required retention period. AMSS calculates these requirements during design so the recording and storage platform can be sized appropriately.
03Can an existing analogue CCTV system be upgraded?
Often, but the existing cameras, cabling, power, recorders and image requirements should be assessed first. Depending on their condition and the required outcome, some infrastructure may be retained while other elements are upgraded or migrated to IP.
04Can CCTV be viewed remotely?
Yes, where the selected surveillance platform, network design and applicable security requirements support remote access. User permissions should be configured so authorised users have access only to the cameras and functions they require.
05Does a CCTV system need SIRA approval in Dubai?
SIRA requirements depend on the type of property, business activity and security-system scope. Where the applicable requirements call for SIRA-compliant surveillance or security-system certification, AMSS can coordinate the CCTV design and implementation with the relevant specifications and approval process.
